Job Overview:

LPL is seeking a Senior Network Engineer and this individual will be responsible for the design, engineering, and operations of campus local area and wide area networks in a multi-data center environment. The role relates directly to providing scalable, robust, and secure network solutions to LPLs, our consultants, and their clients.

Responsibilities:

• Design and development of local campus and data center network solutions

• Configuration and implementation of cloud-based and on-premises network technologies

• Design, Deployment and Management of Wide Area Networks of MPLS, DIA and SDWAN

• Solve complex problems and identify the root cause of problems and drive continuous improvement of the platform

• Participate in a waiting time change

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with Viptela SDWAN

• Minimum five years of experience supporting data center core networks andSetup/Troubleshootingof Cisco switches and routers

• Experience in configuration and development of campus wireless networks.

• Security hardening and controls for network devices

• Expert knowledge of dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP

• Experience using network monitoring and logging tools such as SolarWinds, LiveNX, ELK to perform regular network performance and compliance analysis

• Experience in network optimization, reporting and long-term planning

Basic skills:

• Ability to generate and read packet captures for wired and wireless networks for advanced troubleshooting and optimization of network traffic

• Develop network standards in accordance with technology and industry best practices.

• Demonstrated ability to meet established deadlines and manage multiple projects.

• Hands-on experience and engineering-level experience with Cisco switches such as the Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000, and 2000 switches

• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate others with business acumen and educate others on complex technology.

• Experience in the design, architecture, planning and implementation of routing, switching and data center solutions and strategies in multi-vendor environments.

Ideas:

• Recent certification as a Cisco Certified Design Professional and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional is preferred, but not required

• Experience with ACI and/or DNAC/SDA is a plus

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or comparable professional experience

$102,280 to $153,420/year

The salary range depends on a number of factors, including the applicant's skills, experience, and workplace.
